Management

Jeroen van de Kletersteeg is managing director of Climex, New Values BV and European Energy Auction BV.

Jeroen came on board in January 2011 to set out a new strategy and to manage the business. Jeroen has a background in the international banking industry and worked for Wholesale Banking Global Financial Markets in the Netherlands, South Africa, Scandinavia and North America. In his previous position Jeroen was managing a sales team and was involved with soft commodity hedging and environmental commodities solutions for large corporate clients of Rabobank International.

Legal structure

Climex is the commercial brand name of New Values BV. Climex offers it's members an electronic auction platform for buying or selling environmental commodities. New Values BV is the parant company of European Energy Auction BV which operates in the Netherlands in the name of EnergieKeuze. EnergieKeuze facilitates clients with an electronic auction platform for electricity and gas contracting.

Shareholders

Climex's shareholders are Rabobank and TenneT.

Rabobank is a globally operating AAA-rated bank with their headquarters in The Netherlands. Besides venture capital, Rabobank supplies expertise of financial markets and computerized transaction systems, as well as the section of the back office where transactions are cleared financially.

Tennet is the manager of the Dutch high-voltage energy grid. TenneT supplies knowledge and experience in creating registration systems and trading platforms.

Both Rabobank and TenneT operate in markets which are increasingly affected by environmental legislation. Climex is a cost-effective answer to this development, helping to create market transparency and providing better insights into price development and availability of emission rights.
