Directors
The daily management of Climex are Axel Posthumus, Sascha Bloemhoff and Tames Rietdijk.

• Axel Posthumus was appointed Managing Director and CEO of New Values in 2002.Axel is responsible for the profitability and operations of New Values’ electronic trading platform for emissions Prior to taking up his position at New Values, Axel was an independent entrepreneur and ran his own companies including The Green Utility Company b.v. Previous experience also includes working as Marketing & Sales Manager for a Dutch energy distribution firm and a number of years working as a consultant. Axel studied Business Science at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam (The Netherlands)
• Sascha Bloemhoff is Commercial Director, responsible for Sales and Marketing and closely involved with Product Development. Next to this her focus is on the CDM sector, which has her special interest. Before joining New Values in 2005, Sascha Bloemhoff has worked internationally for over 12 years as a Strategy and Change Management Consultant mainly for the financial industry and energy sector. She managed reorganisations, mergers, performance improvements and IT implementations. Sascha holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands and the Haas School of Business in Berkeley, California. She specialised in micro-enterprisefinancing, on which she worked in Nicaragua.
• Tames Rietdijk has almost 20 years of experience in software development and the financial industry and has been working with New Values for a little over 6 years. Currently he is active as Business Development Director, responsible for business development, product management (Rule Book and Software) and back-office operations, including clearing and settlement.
  Prior to working with New Values, Tames has been working with NetEconomy on Market Surveillance, Exact Software as International Product Manager and as an Auditor with KPMG Accountants.

Shareholders
Climex's shareholders are Rabobank, STX Services, TenneT, Vertis Environmental Finance and the Climex Management.

• Rabobank is a globally operating AAA-rated bank with their headquarters in The Netherlands. Besides venture capital, Rabobank supplies expertise of financial markets and computerized transaction systems, as well as the section of the back office where transactions are cleared financially.
• STX Services is a full-service organisation providing solutions to European institutions exposed to the turbulent energy market. As a new venture of Wallich & Matthes, STX evolved out of the energy division, which has been trading Power, CO2 and derivatives in the professional market over the past 5 years.
• Tennet is the manager of the Dutch high-voltage energy grid. TenneT supplies knowledge and experience in creating registration systems and trading platforms.
• Vertis Environmental Finance is the owner and operator of euets.com. Vertis is an investment and financial advisory firm specialising in emissions trading and environmental markets. It was one of the first companies to complete Joint Implementation projects as well as to arrange EU ETS trades and voluntary emissions reduction transactions in Central and Eastern Europe.

Both Rabobank and TenneT operate in markets which are increasingly affected by environmental legislation. Climex is a cost-effective answer to this development, helping to create market transparency and providing better insights into price development and availability of emission rights.
